A beacon for Swissclassical music
Switzerland is known for many things, but hardly for its symphonic music. Swiss composers of the Classical and Romantic periods remain largely unknown, both at home and abroad. The Swiss Orchestra aims to bring Swiss works back to life in the concert hall and make their composers heard again. As a national orchestra, it aspires to nothing less than a renaissance of Swiss orchestral music.
This is why, when you attend a concert by the Swiss Orchestra, you'll hear rediscovered gems by Swiss composers such as Edouard Dupuy, Hans Huber and Johann Carl Eschmann alongside masterpieces by their more famous contemporaries such as Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart. It's a listening experience unlike anything you’ve had before.

Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer is the Music Director of the Swiss Orchestra. As the Intendant of Andermatt Music, she also oversees the programming of the Andermatt Concert Hall. She is in demand as a guest conductor, and as a doctor of musicology she's ideally placed to engage in pioneering work to explore unknown repertoire.

Als dynamischer, national präsenter Klangkörper ist das Swiss Orchestra im ganzen Land erlebbar und baut Brücken: von Genf bis Basel, von Graubünden bis Zürich. Neben regelmässigen Auftritten in der Schweiz tourt das Orchester international als Botschafter der Schweizer Klassik.
